How to Clone Your Voice with AI

Jun 10, 2026

Overview

Voice cloning lets you build a digital replica of any voice from a short sample, then turn unlimited text into speech in that voice. With Ease Voice Lab you only need 3–60 seconds of clean audio, and your cloned voice is ready in minutes. Clones work across 10 languages, which makes them ideal for podcasts, video dubbing, audiobooks, and personalized content at scale.

Only clone your own voice, or a voice you have permission to use. Always get consent before cloning someone else's voice.

Step 1: Open Voice Cloning

Click Voice Clone in the left sidebar to open the cloning studio. You'll see a Create New Clone card, and below it Your Voice Library with any voices you've already made.

Each plan includes a limited number of clone slots. If you've used them all, delete a voice you no longer need or upgrade your plan to free one up.

Step 2: Provide a Voice Sample

There are two ways to give the AI a reference sample:

Option A — Upload Sample

  • Click Upload Sample and drag in (or browse for) an audio file.
  • Supported formats: WAV, MP3, M4A.
  • The clip must be 3–60 seconds long.

Option B — Record Voice

  • Click Record Voice to record directly in your browser, and allow microphone access when prompted.
  • Read the Recommended reading text shown on screen, naturally and at a steady pace.
  • Stop when you're done, preview the take, and re-record if needed.

The cleaner the sample, the better the clone — see the quality tips below.

Step 3: Name and Start the Clone

Once your sample is ready:

  1. Enter a Voice Name so you can find it later, for example "My Narration Voice".
  2. Click Start Clone.

Step 4: Wait for Processing

Your new voice shows a Processing status while the model builds the clone. This usually takes only a few minutes. When it finishes, the status changes to Ready and you'll get a notification that your cloned voice is ready to use.

Step 5: Use Your Cloned Voice

Find the finished voice in Your Voice Library and click Use Voice. It's now selected in the Text to Speech editor — type or paste your script, click Generate Audio, and you'll hear it in your cloned voice. Play it in the browser or download it as an MP3.

Tips for Best Quality

TipWhy it matters
No background noiseMusic, echo, and chatter get baked into the clone
Speak naturally and evenlyA calm, steady delivery gives the most consistent results
Use a high-quality recordingA higher sample rate captures more detail of the voice
Keep the sample 3–60 secondsLong enough to capture the voice, short enough to stay clean
One main language per voiceEach clone sounds best when it sticks to a single primary language

Supported Languages

Cloned voices can speak 10 languages: English, Chinese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, French, and Russian. Keep each cloned voice to one main language for the most natural results — short brand terms like "AI" inside another language are fine, but avoid long mixed-language passages.
